Lovers and Le Mis

Now that all the dust from the holidays has finally settled, I finally cleaned and reorganized my room...Pictures coming soon.  I still don't have a headboard, but I am going to take a sabbatical from decorating after the last makeover.  I have no idea where the bags and bags of trash that I took out of my room were hiding...

While at home, I got to spend a lot of time with the beautiful ladies in my life.

On Christmas Day, my sisters and I stole away on one our infamous sister dates.  On the agenda was a movie we had been waiting to see for more than a year...LE MISERABLES but first, we had a feast.

For as long as we can remember, our father has taken us to a restaurant in Laredo, Texas called Mariscos El Pescador, which roughly translates to the fisherman's seafood.  Gosh.  The food there is glorious.  You can never go wrong.

Please excuse my crooked glasses...maybe it's time to upgrade...

We had the shrimp fettuccine, and while it is nowhere near authentic Italian, I can assure you, if you eat here, you will not be disappointed.

The movie and songs were beautiful.  Fontine and Marius were absolutely my favorite characters.  I definitely cried in some of their scenes, but the movie was a tad too long for my taste.  Not to mention, my sisters have played the soundtrack every single day since we saw it.  Every.  Single. Day.

The funny thing is that there seemed to be a large divide between the people who loved it, and the people who had walked in there thinking they were going to see God knows what...At one point in the film, one of the women sitting in the front got up screaming at some dissatisfied viewers to zip it or they were going to be thrown out....they were soon escorted out.  Even my little sister had someone thrown out of the theater.  Things got REAL people.  What I learned:  never come between a woman and her musical...at least not in the Texas, mmkay...
